NVUSD-Staff

This is a hidden network that all district-owned Staff devices such as MacBooks, Prometheans, and Chromeboxes automatically connect to. The password to this network is hidden and cannot be shared.

NVUSD-Guest

This is an open network that any guest to an NVUSD campus can use their email address to access the internet on their device. Access lasts twenty-four hours. This is a limited network that functions differently than our other networks.

This is a hidden network that all district-owned student devices such as Chromebooks and iPads automatically connect to. The password to this network is hidden and cannot be shared.

NVUSD

This is an open network that Staff can use their NVUSD login credentials to access on their phone or other devices. Use your NVUSD username and password to access.

NVUSD WiFi FAQ's

Q: If a visitor wants to access the wifi, can I give them my login information to join the “NVUSD” Network?
A: No. Never share your credentials with anyone. Visitors can use “NVUSD-Guest” to connect to WiFi.

Q: My student wants to connect their personal device to the “NVUSD” network with their NVUSD credentials. Is this possible?
A: No. Student personal devices are not supported on any NVUSD network.

Q: What network do my students connect to on their NVUSD device?
A: Student devices will automatically connect to the NVUSD-Device. This is the same as last school year.

Q: Can I connect my personal phone or computer to NVUSD WiFi?
A: Yes. Staff can connect their personal phones, tablets, and laptops to the “NVUSD” network by entering their NVUSD credentials (same as Gmail and Rapid Identity).

Q: I brought a printer from home and would like to connect it to WiFi. Is this possible?
A: No. Personal printers are not supported on NVUSD WiFi.

Q: I have a smart watch, can I join this to the new NVUSD WiFi?
A: No, wearable technology like fitness trackers and smart watches are not supported on NVUSD WiFi.

Need a Case?

Broken screens and irreparable damage can lead to costly fines. Protect your Chromebook with a case! Below are cases that have been tested and approved for the HP Chromebook 11 G9 EE and HP Chromebook 11MK G9 EE models issued by the district. Before purchasing, please confirm that your student has an HP G9 model by checking the model name on the underside of the Chromebook.

Lost Your Charger?

All district-issued Chromebooks require a 45-watt USB-C charger. We recommend using a charger with a power brick in the middle of the cable for optimal performance. Below are links where you can purchase a replacement to submit along with your Chromebook when leaving the district, so you can avoid the fee for a lost charger.
