The NVUSD Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P), in collaboration with trusted partners, is thrilled to offer engaging full-day learning opportunities this summer for students from transitional kindergarten to rising 5th grade, as well as middle and high school students, to boost their academic, social, and overall success through a variety of enrichment activities.

All programs will be closed for holiday observances on July 4th.

All ELO-P Summer programs are FREE for those that qualify according to the family circumstance criteria listed here:
- Free and reduced lunch eligibility
- English Language Learners
- Foster or Homeless Youth
If your family does not meet the criteria for free summer programming, there will be a sliding fee scale to support the cost.

Daily activities include arts and crafts, STEM, games, sports, character development programs, and social-emotional learning. Each session will include theme-related activities planned precisely for their age group. Lunch and an afternoon snack will be served each day.

The Music Connection is proud to present our Summer Music Camps, made possible by the generous support of our donors and partners! Students will fine-tune their music skills by practicing in sectionals, focusing on ensemble work, and playing music games. These camps are a great way to take your musicianship to the next level, to gear up for your next year of music! Choir, band, strings, and musical theater camps are available.

Join the Aim High Community this summer! Summer is a great time to meet new friends, explore new areas of interest, and make connections with inspiring teachers. Middle school students who attend Aim High's five-week program are encouraged to dream big. Students are given the time and space to try new things, which helps build a strong foundation for future success. We can't wait to meet you! NVUSD is a proud summer member of the Global Online Academy (GOA). GOA’s Summer Program consists of summer courses for high school students. These are relevant, passion-driven courses that provide learners in grades 9-12 with the opportunity to dive into topics that are meaningful to them while engaging in hands-on coursework and peer collaboration. About
NCOE was awarded a K12 Strong Workforce Program grant for middle school. We hope you will partner with us this Summer on this engaging and interactive program dedicated to exposing students to our diverse career pathways and providing them with a unique opportunity to explore their interests and learn about potential careers. Each session will include work-based learning career exploration workshops and hands-on activities for students to have fun while experiencing hands-on and real-world learning in three career fields.
The NCOE College and Career team will organize and lead these summer career day sessions in collaboration with the Career Technical Education teachers.
Purpose and Goals
- Increase awareness of potential CTE pathways for middle school students (8th Grade)
- Build career awareness and exposure to key sectors and pathways

Q. What will my child do all day?
The daily schedule will focus on academic intervention, physical education, and social and emotional development through hands-on, developmentally appropriate activities.
When will I know that my child has been accepted into the program?
You will be notified via email directly from your site provider beginning May 1, 2024.
Does my child need to attend 5 days a week for the entire 10-hour day?
Your child will be registered for a 5-day week Monday-Friday full-day schedule, but attendance will not affect your child’s placement in the summer program.
Does my child need to bring lunch?
No they do not. Meals will be provided. Children are welcome to pack snacks, but lunch and snacks will be offered.
