Bell Schedule
What is the daily schedule for school?
NVUSD elementary schools have aligned start for the 2023-2024 school year. This provides consistency for families and allows for streamlined transportation of students. With middle schools and high schools also aligning start times, families with students at multiple levels (for example a student at both elementary and middle school) will have space between drop-off times so all students can arrive safely and on time for school.

Breakfast & Lunch
Will NVUSD food service provide lunch?
An exciting school year is ahead of us, full of positive changes and delicious, healthy food!
The State of California was the first state to pass a new law that allows all students to eat breakfast and lunch at no cost - regardless of household income status! NOSH will provide free breakfast and lunch to all students at our schools this year.
NOSH will also be offering Breakfast in the Classroom at the start of the school day at every K-8 site. This type of program is proven to increase student concentration and build a sense of community while decreasing behavioral issues and trips to the nurse’s office.

Bus Registration Information
Will transportation be available?
Yes, transportation will be available for students. Our transportation team is excited to welcome your students back.
Students must be registered for bus service before riding the bus. If your student was eligible for bus service last year and registered, we sent a ParentSquare Post inviting you to register in July. Please follow the directions in that message to complete registration as soon as possible. If you did not receive that ParentSquare Post, please visit our transportation website to learn more about areas and schools elgible for bus service this year. If you have further questions, please contact the Transportation Department at (707) 253-3556.
Before & After School Programs
Will aftercare be provided at elementary sites?
NVUSD collaborates with participating schools, governmental agencies, community organizations, and, if appropriate, the private sector, to provide before- and/or after-school enrichment programs that support the regular education program and provide safe alternatives for students.
All staff who directly supervise students possess appropriate knowledge and experience and receive ongoing training. In addition to academic and enrichment elements, the program may include support services that promote student health and well-being.
Visit our Before and/or After School website to learn more about our programs.
Data Confirmation
Each year, all families are required to confirm and update emergency contact information and review district policies including the acceptable use policy, media release form, etc. through our data confirmation process. This paperless process is completed online via the Aeries Parent Portal and is now open.
Beginning on Tuesday, August 15th, parents/guardians will be able to see schedules/teacher assignments in Aeries only if data confirmation is complete. Learn more about how to complete the data confirmation process, including step-by-step instructions, by opening the ParentSquare message sent on Tuesday, August 8, 2023.
