About Expanded Learning
NVUSD’s Expanded Learning Program serves students in Tk-6th grade at 16 school campuses between Napa and American Canyon. Napa Valley Unified School District offers BOOST in a collaborative partnership with local out of school time agencies to provide comprehensive programs to Napa’s most valuable resource, OUR students. We currently partner with The Boys and Girls Club and Napa County Office of Education’s Cool Schools to provide after school programming across all elementary and middle schools as part of the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program.
NVUSD collaborates with participating schools, governmental agencies, community organizations, and, if appropriate, the private sector, to provide before- and/or after-school enrichment programs that support the regular education program and provide safe alternatives for students.
All staff who directly supervise students possess appropriate knowledge and experience and receive ongoing training. In addition to academic and enrichment elements, the program may include support services that promote student health and well-being.
