End of Year Message from Superintendent Dr. Rosanna Mucetti
Dear NVUSD Families,
As the 2025–2026 school year draws to a close, I want to reflect on the incredible journey we have shared. This year has been defined by growth, resilience, and a deep, collective dedication to our students. Looking back at everything we have achieved together fills me with immense pride in our school community.
Earlier this spring, we celebrated several wins that highlight growth across our schools. Thanks to the rigorous work of our educators, staff, families, and students, we saw improvement in math and English proficiency, expanded our career-technical pathways, and strengthened literacy initiatives. Our commitment to providing comprehensive support services has resulted in an increase in students who feel they belong, families who feel welcome in our schools, and more aligned mental and physical health resources. These district-wide milestones are not accidental-they are the direct result of a community moving forward in alignment and with a shared vision.
Thank you, families, for your steadfast partnership, your trust, and for anchoring your children's education at home. Your collaboration keeps our schools strong. While I celebrate this progress, please know I remain committed to continued growth and improvement. Our work is not done.
While the summer offers a well-deserved opportunity for rest and rejuvenation, we are already looking forward to the 2026–2027 school year with excitement. This fall, we will see a physical transformation of five more school exteriors in our district: Napa High, Vintage High, Valley Oak High, Redwood Middle, and Stone Bridge Charter will all undergo exterior facility improvements thanks to Measure B. These modernizations mean safer, more comfortable environments where our children can learn. Various schools will also see new playgrounds, blacktops, and other necessary improvements.
Beyond our physical buildings, our focus remains on building an environment of belonging. In the coming year, we will deepen our work to ensure every school is even more welcoming and inclusive for students and families. We believe that learning can only truly flourish when every individual feels valued, safe, and seen for who they are.
Ultimately, when our buildings are safe, our culture is inclusive, and our families are engaged, our students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. Thank you for a truly memorable 2025–2026 school year. I wish you all a safe, happy, and restful summer break, and I look forward to welcoming you back for an extraordinary year ahead.
Sincerely,
