New Magnet Programs at Shearer TK-8 and McPherson Promise Bright Futures

Last week, Shearer TK-8 students, staff, and parents celebrated together the launch of Shearer’s new Career Exploration Magnet Program. Thanks to a magnet grant awarded to both Shearer TK-8 and McPherson Elementary School last year. Shearer School will focus on career exploration while McPherson dives into STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) at all grade levels. Both programs promise high-quality theme-based instruction designed to spark innovative learning that promotes student inquiry and agency. These programs expand educational choices for our families, ensuring students have access to unique and innovative learning opportunities. We look forward to sharing more as the program is further implemented.
