NVUSD has four district-wide goals to improve student learning in our Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP).  We want to know what you think about how we're doing on each goal:

 
  • Getting students ready for college and jobs

  • Making sure lessons grab students' attention and respond to their needs

  • Keeping parents well-informed and involved

  • Helping students feel good and do well in school and life

Celebrate Our Board of Education Students of the Month
 

NVUSD’s Board of Education recognizes  students  each month who have shown exemplary scholarship, citizenship, and school/community service. Students are selected by their school principal and are honored at a  public board meeting .

 

For January and February, Valley Oak High School named Domenick Garcia Gomez and Wesley Revolorio Martinez. Napa Valley Independent Studies named Issak Morais and Oliver G. Kearns. Congratulations!

Summer Learning Adventures with NVUSD and Partners
 
This summer, NVUSD is excited to partner with the Boys and Girls Club of Napa Valley, NCOE COOL School, AIM High, and other organizations to offer a wide range of enriching and educational summer programs for our students. With offerings from hands-on activities and exciting field trips to specialized academic support and social-emotional learning opportunities, there's something for every learner. Get ready for a summer of exploration and discovery with the Napa County Library’s self-paced Summer Reading Challenge, open to young adventurers ages 3 to 11! Mark Your Calendars for Employee Appreciation Week
 
Each year in May we make a point to collectively celebrate all of our staff members - from teachers to counselors, bus drivers to custodians - and everyone in between. Please join us the week of May 6 to recognize the incredible work that our NVUSD employees put in every day to keep your students warm, safe, dry, learning, and having fun!
 
Embracing Plastic-Free Lunches at Our Schools
 
Join us in creating a healthier future for students and our environment by participating in Plastic Free Day. This is a nationwide initiative to reduce plastic use in  cafeterias. NOSH has committed to serving breakfast and lunch without any single-use plastics on April 19th.
