NVUSD Recognizes Trustee Gracia's Dedication and Service on the Board of Trustees

The Napa Valley Unified School District celebrated Area 5 Trustee David T. Gracia during his last board meeting on December 12, 2024. Over the last six years, David T. Gracia has been an invaluable member of the NVUSD Board and Napa Valley Community. 

Trustee Gracia decided to serve on the NVUSD Board of Education to help ensure positive, meaningful change for Napa Valley Unified School District students, focusing his efforts on advocating for student success in math and English language arts, improving the district's fiscal readiness, engaging with the local and regional community, and contributing to the development of a strong and consistent governance framework.

Gracia,” shared NVUSD Superintendent Dr. Rosanna Mucetti. “We know his tireless efforts have resulted in a stronger, more resilient school district and, most importantly, in meaningful change for our students and staff. Being a board member often means making hard student-centered decisions. We are thankful for Trustee Gracia’s willingness to engage, explore, advocate, and partner. We will miss his unwavering dedication and commitment to high expectations for all.”

Gracia is a Native Napan who has practiced law since 2006, beginning his own law firm in 2009. He graduated from the University of California, Davis with a BA in Philosophy and History and from Santa Clara University School of Law with a JD in 2005. He is a member of the Napa County Bar Association (board member 2008), the Knights of Columbus (board member 2010-11), and served as a member of the California State Board Association (CSBA) Region 3 Board of Directors. Trustee Gracia gives his time and talents as Scoutmaster of Troop 83 based out of St. John's Lutheran in Napa. He has been an NVUSD Board of Education Trustee since December 2018.

John Henry Martin will assume the role of Area 5 Trustee and will be sworn in on December 19, 2024.
