Special Education Preschool
Special Education Preschool provides our youngest learners (children ages 3-5) with a caring, safe, and creative place to learn and grow. NVUSD will provide special education services for preschool and TK aged students starting at the beginning of the 2023-2024 school year.
NVUSD offers a variety of special education services for students who are eligible in accordance with IDEA.
NVUSD provides inclusive educational preschool settings. If you are interested in enrolling your student, who is not eligible for special education, please contact Yasmin Rahimtoola at yasmin_rahimtoola@nvusd.org.
A family may refer their child by directly contacting the NVUSD Special Education Preschool's Gaby Cortes at gabriela_cortes@nvusd.org or (707) 227-3782. Children may also be referred for services by relatives, physicians, public health nurses, California Children’s Services, North Bay Regional Center, school districts, or other educational programs.
AND
All students must be enrolled at NVUSD in order to receive an initial assessment for special education services. This includes students transitioning from the Napa Infant Program (NIP) and North Bay Regional Center (NBRC).
