Compliance Officer / Title IX Coordinator

The Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources also serves as the District’s Uniform Complaint Procedures Compliance Officer and Title IX Coordinator for non-employment related complaints of discrimination, harassment, intimidation or bullying in all other district programs and activities; and complaints involving state and federal programs that use categorical funds, including Adult Education, After School Education and Safety, Career Technical Education, Child Care and Development, Consolidated Categorical Aid, Foster Youth Services, Local Control Funding Formula and Local Control Accountability Plans, Nutrition Services, School Facilities, Special Education, Tobacco-Use Prevention Education, and Unlawful Pupil Fees. 


Sexual Harassment Prevention

The Napa Valley Unified School District prohibits harassment on the basis of sex. The Board of Education prohibits sexual harassment of students by other students, employees or other persons, at school or at school-related events. Sexual harassment consists of any unwelcome sexual favors, and other verbal, visual, or physical conduct of a sexual nature, made by someone from or in the workplace.  Any individual who believes he/she has been subjected to sexual harassment and/or incidents of sexual harassment impacting recruitment, testing, hiring, or employment, must be reported to the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources/Compliance Officer/Title IX Coordinator.
