Elementary School Grading & Progress Reports

NVUSD uses a Learning Progression format for elementary progress reports, which focuses on your child’s growth toward specific NVUSD grade-level priority standards. Rather than a single letter grade, students receive a score from 1 to 4 known as Indicators of Student Success (ISS)

  • 4: Exceeds Trimester Expectations

  • 3: Meets Trimester Expectations

  • 2: Approaching Trimester Expectations

  • 1: Not Yet Meeting Trimester Expectations

Progress reports are available to families at the end of each trimester. Families can access these digitally through the RCM Parent Portal.
