Trustee Robin Jankiewicz believes that schools are the backbone of communities, and the strength of communities is tethered to the education of children. As such, she has taken nearly 20 years in finance and from serving on public, private, and independent school boards, to support the Napa Valley Unified School District as they tackle meaningful change. Over the last four and a half years on the NVUSD Board of Education, she has helped exercise financial stewardship by supporting efforts to increase NVUSD’s cash reserves from 3 percent to over 20 percent, creating a more stable financial outlook. Due to her leadership and focus on financial oversight, she and the Board of Education have invested in students by supporting efforts to increase the breadth of the curriculum while expanding programs and enrichment opportunities. She also volunteers her time for education-related fundraising in Napa Valley, sitting on numerous Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) committees, site councils, and advisory boards. With the exception of her presidential year (2022), she has been a member of four NVUSD committees per year, including Finance, Facilities, and Technology. Trustee Jankiewicz received her Masters in Governance from the California School Board Association and greatly enjoys all outdoor activities, including hiking, gardening, boot camps, and spending as much time as possible with family.
