Transitional Kindergarten After School Childcare Information

NVUSD’s Expanded Learning mission is to provide opportunities for students to excel socially, emotionally and academically during out of school time. We believe this mission can be achieved by offering students hands-on, engaging activities that promote creative critical thinking and that differ from the school day. Our extended TK day will provide students with the opportunity to thrive in an age appropriate setting that supports individuality, creativity and whole child development. Childcare will be provided in partnership with Napa County Office of Education, Boys and Girls Club of Napa Valley and NVUSD Childcare.

NVUSD and its trusted out of school time partners will offer extended day programming after the instructional day ends. The ratio for TK is 1:10 effective Fall 2022.

TK school day hours are 8:05-12:35 and childcare is available from 12:35-6pm daily at all locations listed.
Before school care=7-8am will be offered at the locations listed with an *asterisk.
Free of cost for those who qualify and meet eligibility criteria listed below
- Free and reduced lunch eligible
- English Language Learners
- Foster or Homeless
