Best Practices for Arranging Interpretation Support

  1. Advance Requests: Submit requests for interpreters at least two weeks prior to scheduled meetings to guarantee coverage.
  2. Equipment Check: Test headsets and translation transmitter equipment 15 minutes before opening the doors.
  3. Pre-Meeting Briefing: Provide interpreters with agendas, slides, and key vocabulary list ahead of time.
  4. Pacing & Clarity: Remind committee chairs and presenters to speak clearly, pause periodically, and avoid educational acronyms.
