Academics & Special Programs
Our academic framework is built on a 'Graduate Portrait' vision that empowers students with 21st-century skills and a passion for lifelong learning. By blending rigorous core standards with diverse enrichment opportunities, we ensure every NVUSD student is prepared to thrive in the real world.
Our Academics & Special Programs provide the essential framework for every student’s K-12 journey. This section introduces our core academic curriculum—including English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Physical Education—all aligned with high standards for achievement and college readiness.
To ensure every student can access this rigor, we utilize a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS). This framework allows our educators to provide targeted academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions based on each student's individual needs. Within this supportive ecosystem, you will also find our specialized pathways such as AVID, Dual Language Immersion (DLI), and Special Education, as well as our BOOST Expanded Learning opportunities.
