From elementary levels, AVID builds academic habits, focusing on organization, study skills, and self-advocacy, while its elective class in higher grades emphasizes academic support and skills for college readiness. AVID's comprehensive approach includes professional development for educators and a WICOR-based curriculum (Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, Reading), encouraging a schoolwide shift towards a more equitable, inquiry-focused, and organized learning environment.
