Expanded Learning Opportunities

Empowering Students Through Enrichment and Support

Napa Valley Unified School District is committed to providing rigorous, real-world learning experiences that prepare each student for a successful future. Our Expanded Learning Opportunities (ELO) provide a nurturing environment across 20 campuses in Napa and American Canyon where students thrive through programs that cultivate their interests and build career-ready skills. By centering student agency, we ensure every child has equitable access to high-quality enrichment that extends the school day through our NVUSD Childcare program and our valued partnerships with the Boys and Girls Club of Napa Valley and the NCOE Cool School and ACE programs.

Our mission is to provide opportunities for students to excel socially, emotionally, and academically through hands-on, engaging activities that promote creative critical thinking and whole-child development.

To ensure academic success, our program features three targeted intervention cycles led by NVUSD credentialed teachers and supported by the Sylvan Tutoring Center. These comprehensive services are available for a minimum of 210 days annually, including Winter and Summer Programming, to prevent learning loss and foster a culture of joy. Whether participating in sports, science, or leadership clubs, students are supported in a safe environment that strengthens the bond between school, home, and community.
