Summer Reading 2021

it’s time for summer reading!

Reading during summer break is one of the most important activities your student can do. Exercising their brains every day with reading helps students retain learning from the previous year and keeps them ready to learn new things in the next school year. PLUS it’s easy, it’s free, and it’s fun!

This year NVUSD is partnering with the Napa County Library to bring you Reading Colors Your World a fun and easy way to keep track of your reading activity over the summer break. You can even earn prizes!

*You cannot participate on paper AND online--if you choose to participate using a paper log, you will be responsible for reporting your final reading time to your school in the fall.

What should you read?

The best thing about summer is you can read whatever you want!

Read a book your teacher suggested or something fun you picked yourself. Listening to reading counts too so don’t forget about audiobooks or have a sibling read aloud and both students can count the time!

Find great books to read and listen to on Sora, Tumblebooks, and Hoopla without ever leaving your house!

The first time you use Hoopla you will need to create an account.

You will provide an email address and create a password. This login info can then be used to access your Hoopla titles via any device.
