We are excited to welcome your students back to the school bus for the 2021-2022 school year.

For the 2021/2022 school year, Napa Valley Unified School District will be resuming general education home-to-school transportation at levels similar to pre-COVID service.

Following Governor Newsom's recent announcement regarding new statewide masking guidelines, masks will no longer be a requirement inside schools and childcare facilities. As of Monday, March 14, NVUSD will adopt new indoor mask policies that remove the requirement to mask indoors in all schools across the district. Accordingly, masks will not be required on school buses. However, masks will be "strongly recommended" in keeping with updated guidance. Per CalOSHA, these new guidelines also apply to employees. School buses will continue to be Sanitized.

Bus service is available for students attending the following schools;

Elementary schools:

  • Bel Aire to Boys and Girls Club,
  • Napa Junction,
  • Shearer, Snow,
  • West Park to Boys and Girls Club

Middle schools:

  • American Canyon,
  • Harvest,
  • Redwood,
  • Silverado

High schools:

  • Vintage.

General Education students who live beyond specified miles of walking distance and attend their school of residence may apply for transportation. Walking Distance is calculated: "as the crow flies" - Grades K-5: 1.25 miles, Grades 6-8: 3 miles, and Grades 9-12: 4.25 miles.  Transportation is not available for Open Enrollment students. Students will be assigned to a bus stop by the address on file with the school. Students will be restricted to their assigned bus unless other arrangements have been made with the Transportation Department.  Please fill out and return the School Bus Registration form to the Transportation office or the school bus driver.  The School Bus Registration form can be obtained online, at the school site, in the Transportation office, or from the school bus driver
